Govert van der Heijden (1985) studied Illustration at Willem de Kooning Art Academy with a minor in his second passion besides drawing, photography.
Govert is shooting in black and white most of the times, due to the graphic shapes and sharp contrasts. Cities, metropolises, megapolises, preferably as large and busy as possible. On his travels along the largest cities in the world, Govert photographs the endless urban landscapes. Huge skyscrapers, densely packed residential towers and criss-cross highways.
Govert's photos have a raw character in which the human dimension is often hard to find.
